Senior Product Manager

Sydney, New South Wales
Work Type: Full Time

Ready to step into a fast-growing fintech and shape the future of investing?

If you thrive at the intersection of technology, finance and customer outcomes — and you like turning strategy into shipped product — this role will keep you challenged and engaged. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and drive the next phase of our digital platform as we continue to scale, balancing execution excellence with customer-led growth.

About us

At Stockspot, our mission is simple: help people invest in a way that’s easy, safe and consistent, so they can confidently achieve their financial goals.

We provide low-cost, automated financial advice through a digital platform that clients consistently rate as simple, intuitive and trustworthy.

Stockspot manages over $1 billion in assets for over 20,000 clients, supported by a small, high-performing team. Our technology does much of the heavy lifting, and every team member plays a meaningful, hands-on role in shaping the business.

This is an opportunity to join a focused, ambitious team and have a direct impact on how Australians invest. Visit our website to learn more about us.

Role purpose

As our Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for executing Stockspot’s product strategy and driving the product roadmap for our digital platform, ensuring it is translated into clear, prioritised and delivery-ready work.

Working closely with the CEO, CTO and Engineering team, you will play a critical role in preparing, refining and managing work so that engineering always has well-defined, groomed and prioritised tickets ready for delivery. You will spend a significant portion of your time ensuring requirements are clear, dependencies and trade-offs are understood, and delivery momentum is maintained.

You will also work directly with teams across the business — including Marketing, Operations, Compliance and Client Care — to intake initiatives, understand customer and business needs, assess impact, and incorporate priorities into the roadmap where appropriate. This role acts as a key point of coordination between strategy, customer outcomes, regulatory obligations and execution.

This is a highly hands-on role in a B2C, regulated fintech, suited to someone who enjoys being close to execution while also shaping how the product evolves to support growth, scale and long-term trust.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a strong advocate for the customer by understanding how clients use the platform, where friction exists, and translating these insights into clear product requirements and delivery priorities.

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leaders to translate strategic priorities into executable work, supporting clear trade-offs and timely decision-making.

  • Execute the product roadmap in line with company strategy, ensuring initiatives are well defined, appropriately sequenced and ready for delivery.

  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure tickets are clearly scoped, groomed, prioritised and understood ahead of delivery through to creating or reviewing test plans and take an active role in functional testing to ensure releases meet requirements and are ready for production.

  • Coordinate and manage inputs from across the business — including Marketing, Operations, Compliance and Client Care — assessing customer impact, dependencies and feasibility before incorporating work into the roadmap.

  • Work day-to-day with Engineering to support delivery, resolve blockers and maintain momentum across product initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Design and Marketing to ensure changes to the platform deliver a consistent, intuitive customer experience and support growth objectives.

  • Use data, customer feedback and testing outcomes to evaluate impact and continuously improve the platform.

  • Operate effectively within a regulated financial services environment, embedding governance, risk and compliance considerations into delivery and release processes.

About you

You are a practical, delivery-focused product manager who thrives in small, high-accountability teams and enjoys being close to execution — while still thinking deeply about customer problems and growth opportunities.

You bring:

  • Strong experience facilitating the full delivery cadence, including stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning, retros, testing and release — ensuring teams are prepared, aligned and able to deliver consistently.

  • A hands-on approach to product management, with the willingness and capability to write requirements, contribute to test plans and actively participate in functional testing to maintain quality and momentum.

  • Strong knowledge of investing, ideally gained through experience in robo-advice, wealth management, superannuation or similar digital financial products.

  • Proven ability to translate strategic direction into clear, executable work, balancing competing priorities and making sound trade-offs.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to align stakeholders, resolve ambiguity and keep delivery moving.

  • Experience working in regulated environments, or a clear appreciation of the discipline required to deliver change within financial services.

  • Comfort using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to validate requirements, assess outcomes and inform continuous improvement.

  • A collaborative, calm and pragmatic working style, with good judgement and a strong sense of ownership.

What’s it like working at Stockspot?

In short — genuinely rewarding. We’re a supportive, well-connected team who collaborate with purpose and take pride in doing things properly. We expect honesty, consistency and simplicity in how we work, and we aim to be customer champions in every interaction — with each other, our clients and our partners.

We work in a hybrid environment that balances flexibility with purposeful teamwork. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, we come together in our centrally located Barangaroo co-working space. These in-person days matter — they help us solve problems, learn from each other, share ideas (and food), and keep our culture strong. Tuesdays and Thursdays are work-from-home days, offering focus and flexibility.

We also offer a range of staff benefits, which we’re always happy to talk through.

This role is based in our Sydney CBD office and is not open to remote applicants.
